Strictly, if r2 then (s1 or s2 or s3). That is certainly information. And we can say &amp;quot;s4 causes (r1 or r3 or r4)&amp;quot;, and &amp;quot;s4 causes r1 sometimes&amp;quot;, which is all information too, even though there&amp;#39;s uncertainty in there.&lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;I believe we should consider there is a physical connection between B and C, even though it&amp;#39;s not direct, but via A. When he says &amp;quot;C contains information about B&amp;quot;, that is not a simple fact but requires knowledge of the A-&amp;gt;B and A-&amp;gt;C connections. Information and causation fit together very well when properly analysed. Personally, in the most general terms, I see causation, information flow and energy flow as three different aspects of one phenomenon.</content><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/3317748811909502538/6838871482100541932/comments/default/1426628328817150877'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/3317748811909502538/6838871482100541932/comments/default/1426628328817150877'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://www.intropy.co.uk/2008/08/information-causality-and-epr-paradox.html?showComment=1220696460000#c1426628328817150877' title=''/><author><name>Robin Faichney</name><uri>http://www.dalbrack.org/</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email></author><thr:in-reply-to xmlns:thr='http://purl.org/syndication/thread/1.0' href='http://www.intropy.co.uk/2008/08/information-causality-and-epr-paradox.html' ref='tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3317748811909502538.post-6838871482100541932' source='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/3317748811909502538/posts/default/6838871482100541932' type='text/html'/></entry></feed>
